Clarkson College presents the Distinguished Service Award and the Dr. Patricia Book Perry Faculty of the Year Award to outstanding community members who demonstrate a commitment to the institution and its students. Coordinator of Student Success Brooke Clements and Radiography Associate Professor Trish Weber, MHA, R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) (’95, ’08, ’11) received the prestigious awards during the May Community meeting held on campus in Howard Hall on May 9.
The Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes a support or administrative/professional staff member who exhibits leadership and demonstrates outstanding service to Clarkson College. All part- and full-time, non-faculty staff are eligible to receive the award.
Clements first joined the College community in 2007 and worked in the Admissions office for two years. She returned to the institution in May 2016 and currently serves as the Coordinator for Student Success where she works with students involved in on-campus programs such as Supplement Instruction. Clements also teaches a General Education course and serves on the employee wellness and student retention committees.
“It is an honor to receive the award, and it means a lot that my colleagues took the time to nominate me when there are so many others who are just as deserving,” said Clements. “I really couldn’t do my job without the support of the campus community, so it is humbling that others felt I deserved this recognition as an individual. It is such a pleasure to come to campus every day and work with colleagues who are just as passionate about the College and our students as I am.”
Clements’s colleagues provided the following comments on her nomination form:
