I grew up in Broken Bow, Neb.
After growing up in a small town, I wanted to experience "city life!” I moved to Omaha and started working in a law firm while I finished my bachelor's degree online. I originally thought I would be interested in law school but instead realized my interest in physical therapy.
I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Management/Marketing from Park University and an Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from Clarkson College.
I have worked as a licensed PTA for almost four years. My experience has been in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing and home health. I am a certified kinesiotaping practitioner and an APTA credentialed clinical instructor.
I enjoyed being a clinical instructor for PTA students, so when the opportunity came to apply for being an adjunct faculty member, I knew I couldn't pass it up! Having been a student at Clarkson College, I knew it was the only program I would want to return to as faculty.
I look forward to getting to know the students and help them discover their abilities as future PTAs. As a lab assistant, I get to teach with a hands-on approach, and I enjoy teaching the students new techniques.
I enjoy reading, crafts, working out and trying new restaurants. In the summer months, I look forward to time spent camping on the beach at Lake McConaughy.
I met Tom Osbourne when I was 16. I was waiting tables at a small café at Lake McConaughy, and he came in to get change for a dollar so he could get a newspaper. I had him autograph a pink Post-it® note that said "Biscotti 75 cents" because I couldn't find anything else for him to sign! I still have that Post-it® note.
